A collection of testimonies, essays and stories about the realities of occupation by those who witnessed it firsthand, and who have chosen not to be silent. Authors, most of whom reside outside the region and for many of them visiting for the first time, focus on those living under the occupation rather than on those sent to maintain the occupation. Together with testimony from Breaking the Silence, which gathers soldiers’ stories, this book ultimately attempts to tell the truth about the occupation through a shared commitment to justice, morality, equality and human rights.
